Governmental grudge

This is why I hate watching or reading the news. We're already fighting on two fronts as it is though only one war. But now we have to get in a pissing contest with China to. I don't care if we supposedly have the strongest military. We are already dangerously low on reserves. The best of the prior trained getting shot to all hell in a place we're not even officially at war. The President has weakened his military power base and now declares an out right defense of Taiwan should China not let it go. I know what our government thinks and grand standing is a time proven method. But with China it's not going to work. He'll have to back his threat and people will die. Not like their dying in the middle east but here and very present. Sometimes I hate being a History major. Knowing from the beginning why so many of the military tactics employed by our government would simply not work. The President has dragged us into another Vietnam except this one is backed by religious and not mere political fervor and will drag on for eternity if he lets it. When will politicians understand that the time for imperialism even by proxy is over. Our way is not and further more should not be every one's way. Where's the fun in that.
